Scope of Valuers work

To value real estate only in NSW, Australia requires registration with the NSW Office of Fair Trading.

Property Valuers are required to undertake the appraisal & assessment of improved and unimproved property for various purposes including market value, sale and purchase, mortgage, family law, compensation purposes etc.

Functions include researching market data and property information, inspecting property, interpreting maps, plans and town planning information, surveying information, construction and building processes, analysing information, communicating with clients, report writing and computer skills to develop valuation/appraisal reports etc.
